Highway 40 reopens after crashes

Highway 40 has reopened after multiple crashes south of Grande Prairie Friday. RCMP say they responded to three separate collisions involving semi trucks around 10:15 a.m. by the North Imperial Road.

One man was injured and was taken to the QEII Hospital by STARS Air Ambulance in stable condition.

Police say the highway is clear away, but ask drivers to be cautious in the area 45 kilometres south of the city as crews are still on scene cleaning up oil. The crashes are all still under investigation, and mounties are looking into all possible factors.
