County extending hours to tackle snow drifts

The County has brought in reinforcements to clear drifting snow. It has hired extra equipment and will be working extended hours to clear all local gravel and rural roads.

Wind gusts up to 75 kilometres an hour overnight blew snow that wreaked havoc on many township roads and rural highways, prompting a travel advisory by RCMP. Drivers reported white out conditions.

More snow or other inclement weather could impact the County’s clearing plans.
