Van hits woman in downtown Grande Prairie

RCMP are reminding drivers to be aware of pedestrians after a collision between a van and 19 year old woman. The accident reportedly happened Friday afternoon at the intersection of 100 Street and 105 Avenue.

The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries. A 66 year old man from Grande Prairie is facing charges of failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

RCMP remind drivers to watch for pedestrians as they approach intersections especially with the slippery roads in the area.
