Grader shooting suspect charged with attempted murder

The man accused of shooting at a grader has been charged with attempted murder. He was taken into custody Saturday afternoon at a home in Grande Prairie.

RCMP say the incident started around 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning when the grader and a vehicle got into a crash near 100th Street and 84th Avenue. The suspect is then alleged to have gotten out of the vehicle and fired shots at the grader before running off.

The operator wasn’t shot, but was taken to hospital with minor injuries. They have since been released.

In addition to attempted murder, 22 year old Dakota Jackson Grey is facing several other firearms charges. He remains in police custody and is due in court on February 7th.
