Tight race in the NPHL playoffs

The North Peace Hockey League playoffs continue with Fahler and High Prairie leading their series two games to one.

In the east division Manning took the first game of their best of seven match-up. Fahler won the next two games 8-4 Thursday and then 6-3 Saturday. The Fahler Pirates went into the playoffs leading the east division.

The east division games between High Prairie and Grimshaw have been high scoring match-ups. High Prairie took the first game 9-3 but Grimshaw came back in game two winning 7-5. Saturday night’s game went to High Prairie 7-6.

The west division is facing off in a round robin style tournament where Fort St John is leading with two wins after defeating Dawson Creek 5-3 Saturday night.

All three series are back on the ice Tuesday night.
