Dignitaries and hundreds of supporters of the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum showed up this afternoon for the official ribbon cutting at the site of the soon to be completed facility.
The $30 Million museum has been over a dozen years in the making.
Construction is expected to be complete this fall, with the building ready to open hopefully sometime next spring once the displays are purchased and installed.
Today’s ribbon cutting marked the completion of years of work on both the museum, and of the Aykroyd Family Theatre, which will be a part of the 41,000 sq ft facility.
