Freezing rain warning issued for Grande Prairie region

A freezing rain warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview region. Environment Canada says rain and patchy freezing rain is expected across central Alberta, starting in the west tonight.

It’s forecast that much of what will fall will largely be rain, but the impact of it falling on cold roads and sidewalks could make them icy and slippery.

Residents are warned to be extra careful walking and driving, and to adjust to the conditions. They should improve by late Wednesday morning.
