Drugs seized from Valleyview home

Two people are facing charges after drugs were seized from a Valleyview home. Working together, local RCMP and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team executed a search warrant at the home on 53 Street on January 10th.

Officers seized 18.7 grams of meth and 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, along with cash, drug paraphernalia, and bear spray. 30 year old Angela Denis Tokar and 41 year old Michael Louis Haynes were arrested inside the home.

They’re both facing two counts of possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, and one count each of possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. Tokar is also facing five more charges.

“Collaborating on projects targeting drug trafficking with our law enforcement partners is integral for our crime reduction strategy,” says Valleyview detachment commander Staff Sergeant Carolin Respet. We will continue our efforts in reducing crime in our community.”
