RCMP say that an investigation has been launched after the death of child earlier this week.
They say the 23-month-old girl was brought to the hospital the morning of January 9. Her name will not be released and no information on any injuries is available .
RCMP say that an autopsy was conducted the following day by the Edmonton Medical Examiners office. The cause of death has not been determined.
