Aquatera announces rate increase for 2018

Aquatera customers will notice a slight increase to their bills in 2018. The typical increase will be about 2 25 a month for Grande Prairie residents and 5 oh 5 for customers in Sexsmith.

The increase is on “residential services”. Waste and recycling charges decreased in 2017 but will stay at the same level in 2018. Aquatera says this is one the lowest increases customers have seen even though they plan on making significant capital investments this year.

Customers will see the rate increase on their February bills. Clairmont county council will make a final decision on rates at their next meeting, any rate increases will take effect February 1.
