City declares parking ban

A parking ban will come into effect in the City of Grande Prairie Wednesday. Because of the snow build up, all vehicles will have to be off of permanent snow routes from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays.

“Having vehicles removed from the road allows our crews to do a safer, faster and more complete removal of the snow from the roads,” says Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll.

The ban includes bus routes, 100th Street, 68th Avenue, Resources Road, and Highway 40/Wapiti Road. It will stay in effect until further notice.
