Grande Prairie MLAs owe constituents an apology: Wildrose

The Wildrose Party has called out both Grande Prairie-area MLAs for their involvement in the Alison Redford flight scandal.

Wayne Drysdale and Everett McDonald were both on a flight to Grande Prairie with the former premier on October 25, 2012.

It was headed to Northern Alberta Leader’s Dinner, but in a report released yesterday, Alberta’s auditor general Merwan Saher found it was not for business purposes.

Wildrose MLA Kerry Towle argues their constituents are owed an apology, and answers about why they didn’t speak up when the issue was raised in the Legislature last March.

The party has called for a public inquiry into government spending practices after it was shown Redford inappropriately used resources while in office.
