The fire hazard in the Grande Prairie area is now listed as moderate, though it is still fairly dry in northern areas.
Crews are looking forward to a good day of fire fighting thanks to lower temperatures and humidity.
Crews are currently working on 45 hectare fire burning about 85 kilometers south west of the city that was sparked on Wednesday.
The Red Deer Creek fire is still classified as being held.
