108 Avenue will be closed westbound between 101st and 102nd Street starting Wednesday. The city says Aquatera needs to do urgent repairs on a sewer pipe, but there’s no danger to the public.
It’s expected work will be done and the road re-opened by Friday. A detour is available using 109 Avenue, and signs will be posted. 108 Avenue residents can get on to the road from the east.
The City’s Parks Department has also temporarily closed “Thrill Hill” in Swanavon. Unseasonably warm weather has made it unsafe for sledding, and barricades will be put up until conditions improve.
Borstad Hill by the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park can still be used.
