Site C decision expected Monday

The B.C. government is expected to announce its decision on the Site C dam Monday morning. Premier John Horgan has scheduled a press conference for 11:30 a.m. in Victoria.

The NDP promised to decide whether or not to proceed with the $8.8 billion dam in northeastern B.C. by the end of the year, following an independent review by the B.C. Utilities Commission. Its report released in November found the project is behind its scheduled November 2024 completion, and the overall price tag would exceed $10 billion.
