The County is looking towards future expansion as they prepare their Growth and Economic Development Strategy. The plan is meant to guide the creation of income generating projects outside of agriculture, resource development and established tourism attractions.
The public and businesses are invited to view current plans and provide feedback or ideas at two different public open houses. The first will be held Wednesday at the Beaverlodge Community Centre from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A second open house will be held Thursday at the Wellington Resource Centre in Clairmont and will also run from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The county has been developing the strategy since fall 2016 and expect to present a completed plan to council in 2018.
