June’s Dirham Homes Community Builder of the Month is Hailey Winnicky-Lewis! Hailey recently organized a flag football tournament is in memory of her close friend and St. Joe’s football player Colby Smith, who passed away in April after a four-year battle with cancer. Through it, she raised money for the Pay it Forward Fund, which will go to students in St. Joe’s High School who need financial assistance to participate in their given sport or specialty. Hailey hopes to make it an annual event, to keep Colby’s spirit in the community’s hearts and help more students. She was also a youth advocate for Mighty Peace Day, helping get other teens involved and organizing the major event. To recognize her efforts, Hailey will receive a gift card and certificate, courtesy of Dirham Homes. Every month, Dirham Homes and 2day FM will announce one member of the Peace Region who has shown an extra effort to make our community better.
