Rotarians from Grande Prairie, Edson, and Fairview will cross over into Mexico later today as part of their annual Highway to Mexico journey.
Organizer and Swan City Rotary club member Allan Kuechle says this year’s caravan includes seven emergency vehicles.
“We ar ebringing down five fire trucks and two ambulances. Â We are also loaded up with fire fighting gear, such as a Jaws of Life that we are also bringing along for one of the local fire departments down there.”
Kuechle says Rotary members are driving the vehicles to Mexico, adding they will arrive in Mazatlan sometime late Friday.

They will then spend about a week in the Mexican city before flying back to Grande Prairie.
