Three facing charges after stolen vehicle involved in rollover

Three people are facing charges after a vehicle involved in a rollover turned out to be stolen. Grande Prairie Rural RCMP were called to Highway 43 near Range Road 75 around 6:30 p.m. on November 18th.

Witnesses told police a vehicle had lost control and rolled into the ditch. A man and two women got out, and reportedly tried to leave by stopping oncoming traffic. No one was hurt.

An investigation determined the vehicle was stolen and the three were arrested. The driver, 36 year old Tyron Sochan of Grande Prairie, is facing charges, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle over 0.08 and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The women were 31 and 32 and are also facing charges of possession of stolen property over $5,000. Their information has not yet been sworn.
