UPDATE: Snowfall warning ended for Grande Prairie, Peace River regions

UPDATE: The snowfall warning for the area has ended. Environment Canada reports 19.8 cm of snow at the Grande Prairie Airport

A snowfall warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge –
Valleyview and Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning regions. Environment Canada says 15 to 25 centimetres of heavy snow is expected to move through parts of northern Alberta.

It’s predicted the snow will start in the northwest this morning and then spread north and east this afternoon. The Grande Prairie and Peace River areas will likely see a short break this afternoon before more snow overnight.

It should taper off Monday evening. Environment Canada is calling for five centimetres of snow at the Grande Prairie Airport today and another 10 to 15 overnight.
