Residential snow plowing gets underway Thursday

Residential snow plowing will get underway in the City of Grande Prairie Thursday. Crews will start in Mission, Pinnacle, Westpointe, O’Brien, and Grand Banks in the morning.

Plows come through neighbourhoods the day before their garbage collection. Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from the road so it can be cleared fully and safely.

It typically takes two weeks to complete the city, so if a neighbourhood isn’t plowed one week, it will likely be reached the next. Windrows will be left along driveways unless marked with a green cone given to elderly and disabled residents part of the Driveway Windrow Clearing Program.
