A celebration of our region’s brand new Phillip J Currie Dinosaur Museum finally gets underway this week.
Pipestone Creek Dinosaur Initiative Executive Director Brian Brake says everything begins Thursday afternoon, with a presentation of the keys to the Municipality to the Akroyd family.
“For a municipality to give out keys to the region, it’s the highest form of acknowledgement that a municipality can give. If they want to acknowledge visitors to the region who have done something really outstanding, they offer them the keys.”
Also on the schedule this weekend, the Harley Davidson Akroyd Family Ride on Saturday Afternoon, followed by the museum ribbon cutting, and of course the Amber Ball on Saturday evening.
