Some small changes have been made to this year’s Santa Parade. The 2017 event will start at 3 p.m. on December 3rd instead of 1 p.m., and will wrap up with the first ever tree lighting at Revolution Place.
The parade route will take floats from 102nd Street east along 100th Avenue. Instead of heading north on 99th Street, it will instead turn south on 100th and then west on 99th Avenue to break up at Revolution Place.
A celebration with hot chocolate, gingerbread cookies, and carolers will be held at the arena from 3:30 to 5 p.m. complete with a Christmas tree lighting.
The parade will be cancelled if the temperature falls below minus 20 with the windchill by 8 a.m. on the 3rd. Anyone interested in entering the event can do so by contacting the DownTown Association by November 29th.
