Downtown rehab to wrap up mid-November

The City of Grande Prairie is now looking at mid-November for wrapping up construction downtown. It had previously been aiming to finish phases one and two early in the month.

101 Street and 101 Avenue between 101 Street and 100 Street are both expected to open to traffic again late next week. 101 Avenue between 102 Street and 101 Street looks to be closed until the middle of the month.

While pedestrians can again use all crossings downtown, they’re asked to be careful in areas where construction crews are still working. Concrete seat walls and street furniture still needs to be installed, and the construction site cleaned up.
