Those designing masterpieces for this year’s Wearable Arts Fashion show have just under two weeks hand in their designs.
Candace Hook, Executive Director of the Centre for Creative Arts, says wearable art is very different then traditional fashion.
“It is pieces that are worn on the body, but they are not something that you would see people typically wearing on a day to day basis, or really on any basis at all.”
The fashion show itself will be held on September 27 as part of Alberta Culture Days.
Hook says they do need to hear from all of the artists before August 15, so they know exactly how big of a show they will be putting together.
