AHS urges parents to keep children off ATVs

In just the past three months, 38 children in Alberta have been injured on ATVs.

14 of those were serious enough to have to be admitted to a children’s hospital, with two tragic deaths.

Alberta Health Services is urging the parents of anyone under the age of 16 not to let them drive or ride on off-road vehicles, as they have not yet developed the skills or judgement to properly operate them.

Anyone older than that is still reminded to get the proper training, wear the proper gear, and watch the weather.

As always, riders should never drink or take drugs before getting on an ATV.
