Changes made to Pomeroy Team Cycling Challenge

The Grande Prairie to Edmonton Team Cycling Challenge taking place next month will now be raced over two days.

The 493 km race was originally set to start on September 5, with teams relaying all the way to Edmonton through the night.

Organizers have now decided to add an overnight stop in Whitecourt, meaning single riders will be able to participate.

Registration is now $420 per rider, instead of $4200 per team.

Any cyclists who would like to ride with a team can be placed with one as well.

The race will be held in tandem with the Tour of Alberta, which gets started September 2.
