Local man biking to Calgary to raise money for cancer research

A Grande Prairie man is embarking on a 750 kilometer bicycle journey to Calgary this weekend, all in the name of raising money for Cancer research.
Jon Lemky says his motivation is very close to home.
“My wife has been dealing with brain cancer for over 11 years now. My motivation is to do something big against cancer and hopefully raise a little bit more money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.”
Lemky says so far he has raised over $5000, and would love to reach his goal of $8000 by the time he reaches Calgary next Friday.
