UPDATE: Vehicle had right of way in pedestrian crash

UPDATE: An RCMP investigation has found that the vehicle had the right of way as it drove south through the intersection of 108 Street and 107 Avenue. The pedestrian was hit as he crossed 108th and remains in hospital in stable condition. Police say no criminal charges will be laid.

A pedestrian has been seriously hurt in an early morning crash. The 32 year old Grande Prairie man was hit by a vehicle near the entrance to Grande Prairie Regional College just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

RCMP say the man was crossing the street at 107 Avenue and was hit by the vehicle heading south on 108 Street. He suffered serious, life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police are investigating the crash and ask that anyone with information come forward or contact Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
