Eastbound traffic on Highway 43 is being detoured at Range Road 55 due to a crash involving a semi. Grande Prairie Rural RCMP say the truck was heading west on the highway when it hit an SUV southbound on RR55 some time before 6:20 p.m. Thursday night.
The 35 year old man driving the SUV was taken hospital by EMS with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.
Police expect traffic heading east of Clairmont to be diverted until the crash is clear, which should be by 9 p.m. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
