Stolen property, gun found in stolen vehicle

Grande Prairie RCMP have arrested a man found with a stolen vehicle full of stolen property and a gun. An officer spotted the vehicle downtown on October 2nd, and once it was determined it had been stolen, the man inside was arrested as he got out.

A search turned up a firearm, ammunition, and stolen things linked to several thefts around the city. As a result, 25 year old Cody Lee Brown of Grande Prairie is facing 14 charges related to possession of property obtained by crime and firearms offences.

Brown remains in police custody and is set to appear in court on October 23rd. Anyone with information that could help mounties in their investigation is asked to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
