Fundraiser for upcoming school band trip to Croatia and Bosnia

A group of students from Grande Prairie will broaden their horizons by jetting to Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Grande Prairie Catholic Senior Bands will make the trip which is said to a “music and cultural experience”.

While there they will attend workshops and play concerts at several schools in the region. The trip will also allow the student an opportunity to learn about the history of the area, which has undergone drastic changes since the break up of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

To help cover costs students and their families are holding a garage sale at Elks Hall Saturday October 14 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
