A: Im a task orientated individual and believe in asking the hard questions and expect answers. Council has many exciting projects underway, many of which are near and dear to my heart. I have 13 years of experience and would be the longest serving council member with the retirement of Brock Smith. Council needs that keeper of the past information and consistent source of positive imput.

Barry Yaehne

A: I am a long term resident of the County of Grande Prairie. My background as a successful business executive and small business owner in the county will be an asset to council in the business of the county’s affairs. I love this community. Over the years I have had the privilege in participating in many great organizations including Junior
Achievement of Northern Alberta, NWT and Nunavut, Rotary, United Way, Ronald McDonald House and of course was a member of the Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce and was a finalist for Small Business of the Year in 2015. I am currently the Director (Friends of the Games) of the 2018 Alberta Summer Games. Being a county councilor will give me another opportunity to give back to a community that has been so good to me. I am making a full time commitment to the county and the tax payers in Division 3

DIVISION 4

Maurissa Hietland

A: I am running for county council because I have a passion for my community and as a community advocate, the amount of difference I am able to make has a ceiling. As an elected official, that difference would increase.

Bernie Smashnuk

A: I want to have open, honest, transparent and fiscal responsible representation for the rate payers. Video and teleconferencing is paramount. Residents in Ward 4 should vote for who they trust to collet and spend their tax dollars wisely. I have experience, energy and time to represent the needs of the rate payers.

A: I believe it is time to use my experience and knowledge to the benefit of my community, with the same commitment and integrity that I have made front and center my entire life.

I plan to use my skills and experience in business to find solutions for the issues, support implementation and follow thru to the execution of the plan. Partnerships that equally share in decision making and are fully vested can create advantages where none existed before. We are very fortunate in our division to have 3 strong candidates with unique skill sets, each bringing a different perspective to the table. Voters have options.
