Two arrested in Grande Prairie drug bust

More than $15,000 worth of drugs and cash have been seized from a home and vehicle in Grande Prairie. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team and local RCMP executed search warrants on Thursday, September 28th.

In total, 54 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of meth, and 1.5 grams of heroin were found, along with a pair of replica handguns and nearly $9,000 in cash. Inspector Dave Dubnyk says they also seized a large number of contraband cigarettes.

“Drug trafficking and related crimes have a considerable impact on public safety. This was a quick hit investigation by our ALERT team that will help keep Grande Prairie a safe community.”

42 year old Andre Rozon and 26 year old Rebecca Reilly were both arrested and charged. Reilly is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance, while Rozon is facing three of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.

Charges related to the contraband cigarettes are still pending.
