Start date for construction on Judah Hill pushed back

Commuters will be able to use Highway 744 at Judah Hill near Peace River for a little longer this summer.

Construction to do the final repairs on the section damaged by a landslide last May was expected to start on August 5th, but it looks not like it will be closer to the 15th.

Work was done earlier this year to build restraining walls to stabilize the hill, and now the roadway will be covered.

When the closure does start, a detour will be available via Highway 2 and Highway 683.
