Six charged with impaired driving over three days in Fairview area

In a little over three days last weekend, six people were arrested for impaired driving in the Fairview area. Between 10 p.m. on Friday, September 22nd, and 2:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26th, four were criminally charged with impaired driving. One was charged with refusing to submit to a drug evaluation and another was charged under provincial legislation.

“One impaired driver is too many,” says Corporal Jason McLaren of the Fairview RCMP Detachment. “Impaired drivers are not only putting themselves in danger but the public we serve.”

RCMP say the leading criminal cause of death in Canada is crashes involving alcohol or drugs. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead if they know they’ll be drinking.
