So far, 98 per cent of heavy oil and bitumen operations in the Peace River area are successfully meeting new requirements from the Alberta Energy Regulator.
The requirements were a result of an AER panel earlier this year, which looked into complaints of foul smelling odours in the area.
Flaring, incinerating, and venting orders went into effect immediately after a report was published in June.
Several sites in the Three Creeks and Reno areas will also be required to start capturing produced gas as of August 15.
