New Alberta College of Pharmacists president from Grande Prairie

Brad Willsey is just finishing up his first month as president of the Alberta College of Pharmacists.

Willsey owns the Shamrock Pharmacies in Grande Prairie and says he’s most passionate about helping Albertans learn about the wide variety of services pharmacies now offer.

“In the past, there’s been a large focus on the product or the drug; our profession has evolved significantly over the last seven years to include a number of other health services that Albertans can receive in the pharmacy.”

Willsey says many people don’t know that they can order and interpret lab values, administer drugs by injection, and do continuing refill prescriptions, all for free.

His term as president will last one year.
