7G golf tournament raises $510K for hospital foundation

The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation has gotten another major boost to its capital campaign. The charity golf tournament put on by Seven Generations Energy earlier this month raised $510,000.

That brings the total raised by the company over the past five years to $1.7 million.

“It’s amazing what can be accomplished in a single day through dedicated teamwork and a community service mindset,” says Executive Vice President, Corporate Susan Targett. “We are overwhelmed and appreciative to the communities of the Grande Prairie region who year after year generously give their time and support to this event.”

The donation also pushes the Key to Care campaign to $7 million. The goal set in November 2015 was to bring in $20 million in five years.

“I’ve never witnessed a charity tournament like this,” says Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation Executive Director Keith Curtis. “This community tournament continues to help us move towards our goal of creating a state-of-the-art health care facility for our region. We greatly appreciate 7G’s support and wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to 7G’s executive team, staff and all who took part.”
