The Bear Creek Golf Club is introducing a bit of a new variation on the sport to their course.
FootGolf is a combination of Soccer and golf, using a regulation soccer ball at a golf course facility.
Club Owner and President Stuart Wilson says he thinks it is a really interesting twist to to the sport.
“Everybody in golf is looking for ideas to make golf more accessible, and make it a wee bit easier. So we were down in the states, we saw it, and we thought it was a great idea! And it fits our city’s demographic very well.”
The game is simple, get the ball to the hole with the least amount of strokes, or in this case, kicks.
The Bear Creek Golf Club is only the second in the province to introduce the sport.
