A former counsellor from Fort St. John found guilty of sexual assault was sentenced to two years less a day in jail earlier this month.
62 year old Michael Oren Anthony also received two years probation and a 10 year firearms prohibition.
Anthony was working at ABA Counselling Services in Fort St. John when he was charged in October 2011.
At the time, police believed the assault against a 36 year old female client was ongoing between January and April 2010, although it wasn t reported until September of that year.
Throughout his career he also practiced in Dawson Creek, Williams Lake, and Prince George.
