Be wary of a fundraising scam operating in Grande Prairie

RCMP is warning Grande Prairie residents about a scam operating in the city.

Police got a call yesterday about a man going door to door fundraising for Hockey Alberta.

After contacting Hockey Alberta, RCMP have confirmed that the organization does not have anyone fundraising door to door in Grande Prairie right now.

If anyone approaches you and asks for a donation to Hockey Alberta, you are advised to get in touch with the local detachment.
