Evergreen Park gets painted purple this weekend

Evergreen Park will be painted purpose for the Race for the Cure this Sunday. To finish off the two months of pari-mutuel racing, the Mr Mike’s sponsored event will kick off at 1:00 p.m. with free admission. Restaurant owner Brad Richards says pancreatic cancer impacts many in the community and this is a way to raise funds and support.

There will be Frisbee toss and 50-50 available during the event. Park Marketing and Sponsorship Manager Don Moon says there has been an uptick in people coming to the events on the weekends with big crowds on July 8th for opening day and Derby Day on July 30th.
