Two arrested in drug bust

Two people from Grande Prairie have been arrested after a search warrant was executed at a home in the city. The RCMP drug unit and Police Dog Services searched the place on August 23rd.

Police found 8.6 pounds of marijuana, 577 grams of cannibas resin, 82 pills of oxycodone and just over $12,000 in cash. 43 year old Lorraine Boucher is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 47 year Kenneth Lavanway is facing similar charges.

Both suspects will appear in provincial court on September 18th, 2017.
