Two drugs seizures in Peace River area

Two people are facing charges after two drug seizures by Peace Regional RCMP.

Saturday morning, 15 grams of marijuana and 1.5 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $100,000 was found during a traffic stop on Highway 2 outside of Peace River.

A 27 year old male from Peace River has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

He remains in custody until his court date on March 17th.

Also the morning of March 15th, another traffic stop led to the seizure of 170 grams of marijuana, 3 grams of ecstasy, a small amount of hash and $2800 in cash.

A 19 year old female from Grimshaw has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

She has been released on bail and will next appear in court on April 17th.
