Cricket Association offering free weekly clinics for children

The sport of cricket is growing quickly in Grande Prairie, and the local Cricket Association is already getting to work on the next generation.

President Vijay Parmar says junior lessons are being held every Wednesday for children aged six to 15 interested in the sport.

“Basically, we teach them technique. We also teach them discipline, good manners, sportsmanship, some exercises. So every Wednesday from 7 to 9 we have coaches to teach children: boys and girls.”

The clinics are free to attend, and registration can be done beforehand.

They’re held at North Ridge Park and equipment is provided.
