If you are looking to become a County of Grande Prairie council candidate, there is an information session you can attend. On Tuesday, August 22nd, residents interested in learning more can head to the Administration Building and into the Council Chambers.
Returning Officer for the municipal election Sheryle Runhart explains that anyone thinking about running should attend. This session will give people an idea of what the roles, responsibilities and benefits are for becoming a council member. Nomination packages will also be available.
Nomination day is being held on September 18th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. This is when the nomination packages are turned in. Election day goes on October 16th, 2017.
The information session is being held at 6:00 p.m.
