UPDATE: Rainfall warning for Alberta Peace

UPDATE: A rainfall warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie area and partsĀ of the MD of Greenview. Rain that could be heavy at times is expected.

Up to 50 millimetres of rain could fall in the Peace region by the end of tomorrow.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview area calling for 30 to 50 millimetres Thursday.

Peace River, Fairview, High Prairie, and Manning are also included.

Rain with a few thunderstorms are expected to start tonight, with heavy rain continuing Thursday, tapering off Friday morning.

It’s possible more than 50 may fall with the thunderstorms.
