UPDATE: Vike is currently in a residential treatment facility in British Columbia. A new date will be fixed for his sentencing as to avoid him breaching an orders in that province.
The sentencing of a Grande Prairie man who pleaded guilty in the 2012 hit and run death of a 22 year old is expected today.
It had previously been delayed to allow for Norman Vike’s sentencing on another matter to take place in B.C.
Cory McOrmond was found injured in a local parking lot on August 25th, 2012, and later died in hospital.
Vike will also be sentenced today on a separate charge of driving with a blood alcohol level over the limit.
