Nose Creek residents can return home

Those Nose Creek residents who were evacuated from their homes last week have been allowed to return to the small community.

The evacuation zone has been redefined by the MD of Greenview, and now stretches south of the Wapiti River, west of Nose Creek to the B.C. border, west of the Two Lakes Road to the B.C. border, and north of Township road 61.

A state of emergency remains in effect for the area, and ESRD is issuing access permits on a case by case basis to industry and residents who require access to the restricted area.
